Default Warrior Builds Question

I have a couple of question centered around the warrior build. I enjoy playing GW, but I dont have the time to pour into it that some have, so i dont know all the quirks of whats what (I play 95% PVE).

1) Is there a best wpn mastery?

2) I have a Sword W/MO right now. Can I change masteries without it hurting my ability to buy skills?

3) I see alot of W/R and W/N's out there and Im just wondering what skills they use to benefit themselves.

As I sit, i have 12 sword mastery, 10str, 7tac, 5 healing prayer.

What do you guys that know the ins and outs of a great warrior build suggest?

1. there is no "best" mastery, if you like speed stick with sword, if you like dmg go with hammer, if you dont really care just stick with axe.

2. The only thing that would be a problem is buying skills which take skill points which are "sorta" hard to get

3. W/N can steal life, W/R can use pets, traps, spirits, and wilderness survival dealies

So I can switch to axe and not really worry about it?

A couple hints:

Try to focus on only three skills. My personal preference for a W/Mo would be (Weapon)/Strength/Smiting, but that's because I'm predominantly offensive. Use Strength for offense and Tactics for defense -- and remember that in most cases offense is better. The only times I use Tactics any longer is when setting up an AoE group where I am the only warrior and I use Sword/Tactics/Earth for insane tankage. (I would run ahead, get all of the mobs aggro'ed on me, then have the Ele's or whoever AoE nuke the crap out of the mobs.)

As for which weapon to use:

Swords work well for energy-based attack skills, and can also inflict crippled, bleeding, and deep wound, although the deep wound is with some difficulty seeing as the target must already be bleeding. Final Thrust is also a very nice spike-damage attack. Savage Slash is good for an on-demand spell interrupt. Hundred Blades{E} is good with damage-stacking buffs like Order of Pain/Vampire, Strength of Honor, and Conjure (Element).

Axes work well for adrenaline-based attack skills. They can inflict deep wound, crippled, and weakness, although the crippled and weakness don't work so well as the target must already have deep wound. However, the ability to simply give someone deep wound without any conditions is a very dangerous thing to have. Penetrating Blow works better against heavy armor than any other warrior skill, and Cleave{E} and Eviscerate{E} are exceptional attack skills. Disrupting chop is an excellent skill to use against anyone, interrupting and locking that skill, but it takes adrenaline so it's a little harder to use than Savage Slash.

Hammers are interesting beasts. Primarily, the key to any hammer build is knockdown, more knockdown, and then some things that chain with knockdown. My preferred knockdown combo is Devastating Hammer{E}, Crushing Blow, Heavy Blow, Holy Strike/Aftershock. Hammers can inflict knockdown, weakness, blind, and deep wound, although blind and deep wound must be chained with knockdown. Counter Blow and Belly Smash work well against melee opponents. Earth Shaker{E} and Backbreaker{E} are devastating when used well. And remember, knockdown is generally ~the~ best interrupt tactic. If you set two good hammer warriors on an enemy priest, chances are that he isn't ever gonna get up again.

And finally, don't discount the W/E. Though W/Mo, W/N, and W/R all work well, so does the W/E.
